A Road to be taken

The illustration being considered depicts 2 panels, on divergent themes. The left pane highlights a person journeying across demanding terrains. In the picture, He is shown to be crossing a pond / lake, to venture into the woods. Every step made is taken over the rocks scattered across the stream protruding above the water surface. This symbolizes the traveller facing a seemingly hard obstacle in his path, of having no solid trail to take. However, he has conquered the scene by opting to make it across, ins spite of the possible slippery and risky tread. Unfortunately, unknown to the man, there is a crocodile lurking just beneath the smooth river, camouflaging itself smartly in the vivid rivulet strewn by stones scenario, patiently awaiting his prey. This illustration therefore has a two pronged hidden message, explaining both the attitudes of optimism and pragmatism, in dealing with difficult situations in life. It also combines elements of both a humorous and a dangerous idea. This would definitely be one of his worst nightmares coming true.
